Thanksgiving A Little Early

Michael had another COMPEER event so off we went to the yummy Thanksgiving dinner, but not before we snapped this picture:

After the dinner they picked names for a multitude of  "door prizes" and Elsa won a lovely new bike and helmet!  We were pretty excited for her.

They also had "door prizes" for adults and I won a $25 K-Mart gift card!  Poor Michael left empty handed, but we hiked on over to K-Mart and used the gift card to purchase the movie UP...and all was right in the world.  :)

We really enjoyed the movie and Talulah thought the bike was pretty cool:

My Kids Are Nutty

Michael, Elsa, and I finished folding the laundry and I walked out of the laundry room expecting the kids to follow.  A few minutes later I heard them chatting and I wondered what on earth they were still doing in there.  I was surprised to find them doing this:

Just glad they weren't plopped down in front of the boob tube!

Jump Kitty, Jump!

Our kitty, Talulah Bleu, gets pretty playful twice a day.
Here she is with Elsa trying to get her toy:

We really enjoy her laid back nature and her spunky side too!

What is in store for next year?
I had a request for Kermit and Miss Piggy.
Not quite sure about that.
But if that does happen I am going as The Sweedish Chef!

Pumpkins!

Oh what a day we had!  I wasn't sure if I would be ready to take on this task, but I had a back up of Pottery Barn wooden pumpkin faces if it proved to be too much.  The kids were great!  They picked out and carried all the pumpkins and did all of their own pumpkin duties (except Michael's carving).

I did the flag, the heart is Talulah's, Elsa's is the goofy face,
and Michael's is Scooby Doo with a hat on:

Elsa and I collected pumpkin seeds:

We filled up 3 of these bowls:

We had a fun time!  Click here for all the pictures :)

Rollerskating

The kids had a wonderful time at the COMPEER skating party.  This was Michael's 1st event and the kids were a little shy at first...but soon enough some other boys and girls wanted to chase Mario and Princess Peach.  Michael and Elsa got a big kick out of that!

How Long?

How long does it take a girl go through this much chewing gum?

The answer?  Less than two months.
She announced she popped the last piece in her mouth today.

Halloween a Bit Early

I finished the costumes today!  YAY!  I was pleased with the end result. We needed to get them done early because we are going to our first SPOA socialization event for Michael on Friday.  We get the treat of going to a rollerskating-costume-get together.  Michael and Elsa were kind enough to try them on and pose for a few pictures today. (Michael isn't smiling because he is in character...hee hee hee)

God's Got a Plan!

As most of you know the Physical Therapy clinic I work for has closed it's door.  I knew this was a possibility this past June...and at that time I was sort of freaking out.  :)  Fast forward 5 months and now that it is a reality I am thankful that God has given me a total peace regarding this.

I am currently still employed until December 1st...but will most likely be on disability for the duration of my employment.  I am applying and praying for a job at Michael and Elsa's school.  I am a certified level 3 Teachers Assistant and really enjoy working with children.  To be on the same schedule with the kids would be such a blessing!

I would appreciate your prayers as we make this transition.

Oh...and:
